Sarah’s Vineyard lounges elegantly over a rocky knoll, relaxing across 20 hilly acres in a hidden southwestern corner of the Santa Clara Valley.  Tucked at the eastern foot of Mount Madonna near a windy mountain pass, the dynamic coastal California weather patterns create a wonderful microclimate for growing premium wine grapes; and from these gifted grapes Sarah's Vineyard works to create equally gifted wines.

Syrah - 2005, Besson Vineyard

Rated 90 points by Robert Parker, this is what he had to say: "Sweet tannin and plenty of spice as well as a distinct damp earth/forest floor note intermixed with flowers, black currants and cherries all make for a complex aromatic and flavor profile in this 2005 Syrah Besson Vineyard from the Santa Clara Valley. Sweet tannin in the finish and broad, savory flavors only add to the appeal of this wine, which can be drunk now or cellared for 5-6 years" -Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #177, June 2008.
