Santa Cruz Mountains region is home to over 80 wineries, many producing only a few thousand cases of wine per year. The region's special features include marine microclimates, high altitudes and steep sloped vineyards that often overlook the Monterey Bay.

Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains produce high quality, slowly grown grapes that are full of character. The Santa Cruz Mountains stretch from Half Moon Bay to Monterey Bay, and many of the wineries are quickly accessible from San Jose or Santa Cruz.
